& put your footprints on // 11:33 AM &

well.. i've been looking forward to this training... i really want to return to the sprinters team.. its been one month since i last went for sunday training.. really don wish to skip any more training.. since i join this CCA, i shall to take pride in it.. now tt there is no more NCC events, its time to concentrate on my poly cca and my studies..

went for training ya.. i was alone as i reach SDBA(Singapore Dragon Boat Association) quite early.. so i sat down and took a short nap. it was 0810hrs at tt time. then i hear foot step walking towards my direction.. when i open my eyes, i saw a pair of legs in front of me. when i look up, it was my captain.. the first thing he ask was," y are u slpin down here". lolx...

around 0845hrs,everyone is here and all of us change into our running attire and go for a run.. run and run and run and finally we are back. witout any delay, we load our canoe onto the rack and push out to the shore for launching. since it was one month since i last canoe, i haf problem balancing it. everythoing ws fine till i canoe till shears bridge. trying the turn the canoe towards the right, so i tried to edge the canoe.. but i fail.. i capsize and drank the kallang salt water.. quite tasty.. lolx... got rescue by polo girls ya.. thanx for their help.. i back into my T1...

the warming up session is to paddle to shears bridge and then to the suspension bridge. after the polo girls rescue me, i paddle to the suspension bridge. on my way there, i had problems controlling the direction of the canoe.. it juz keep going left despite how hard i try to counter it. got to do stern rather in order to change the direction. reach the suspension bridge, go in and out one time.. then wait for coach to come. coach revise different strokes wit us.. actually is revise with all sprinter but since i miss out so many training, things tt coach teach, seems new to me.. so peeps out there, if u join one things, go for all the training or u will miss out alot.

went to apply strokes that coach revised with everyone, its realli very effective.. beginning to feel the glide of the canoe.. then try to go straight.. feeling quite gd ya.. after all those coaching, the training is sort of "over".. everyone to form teams of three.. gonna haf a competition between each other.. juz a 20m race i think.. see whu can move straight and the fastest.. its mi turn.. chiong and chiong and chiong.. till haf way, i lose mi balance.. i shout as i cap.. from low pitch to high pitch.. lolx.. everyone laugh coz its like damn funny la.. lolx... i was rescued by coach.. can see the unhappiness expression on his face ya..

after a few rounds, the sea training ended... went back to the shore, pitch up our canoe and push back to SDBA. on our way back.. something bad happen.. no 1 had ever told me that we cant go in and cut across the ropes tt were being tied to the yellow beacon. The beacon basically seperates the place where police coast guard park their boats. i just cut across the yellow beacon and coach caught me.. he immediately chouted ,"you owe me 50 CHIN UPS".. woah.. power sia.. then i say ok and quietly paddle back to the shore.. was hoping that he will forget wat he say.

after washing all the canoe and put back to the racks, we got to do a closing set. we do push up in a different manner and also do leg exercise. scissors kick i think.. got to keep our leg straighten as we move up and down. got to coordinate together as we do.. kinda fun ya.. hahaz.. after tt, we do 20 star jump.. tt want even better.. jump till leg soft.. lolx.. then the last thing is do 6 sets of 8 chin up.. which adds up to a total of 48 chin up.. i merely did 8, 4 with assist and i'm shagged.. then coach gave us a debrief and say that everything we do, is juz the beginning... more hell to come.. *woohoooo* the debrief is over and i was preparing to bath..

JUZ THEN... coach say.. "whu owe me 50 chin up"? i raised up my hand and carry on 50.. thanx to both of my sprinter mates, whu are very willing to assist me. they keep encouraging me. after i does 10 chin up, i split the remaining 40 chin ups in to 10 sets of 4. each set, my mate assisted me.. left the last 3 sets, skin from both my left palm and right palm peel off.. i ask the coach if i can continue nxt week and he say no.. therefore, i got to endure the pain and finish off my last 12 chin ups.. pull and pull and finally, its over.. thanx to my two mates.. ic ompleted it.. after tt, we went to bath and went home..

after today, i've learn my lesson. not allowed to cross the beacon as we might get knock down in the lifeguard parking premises and the in charge who is the coach, got to go behind bars.. so canoeing peeps out there, beta watch your direction ya.. anyway, special thanx to dennis and jiame for your help.. =D

Never give up...
